All three of them are devastated. People keep focusing on Booth’s sadness, but this is killing Brennan just as much. You KNOW this was a difficult decision for her. In this shot, she’s so sad, but there’s a sense of… confidence, in a way, that this is the absolute right choice. Confidence that Booth WILL get them back.

bI just want to say kudos to Hart Hanson & Co for defying the odds of getting a “will they/won’t they” couple together, and managing to somehow find a way to separate them and give them “conflict” (though, that might be the wrong word), WITHOUT actually breaking them up (like adding a 3rd party/cheating storyline), all while still proving that their love and relationship is stronger than ever.
